Happy April!

I know it has been a bit of a slow time in regards to games so I had a Board Meeting today to see what could be done. We’ll continue to have Apex Legends as an Officially Played Game as that is still popular. To add to it, we are also adding Overwatch. Logan will be Director and he has some great ideas on making that fun and engaging. Keep an eye on Discord for more information.

We’ve also updated our Patreon goals. We’ve decided to remove the $30 goal of giveaways between game servers. Since we are wanting to keep the dedicated server up year round due to setup time, we don’t see ourselves having the funds to be able to afford that. In the event we do, we’ll of course host a giveaway. Since April was promised to have a giveaway and we have the funds available, we will still have one this month. Look forward to that in the upcoming week. We’ve also adjusted our $60 goal for a dedicated server to $70 a month to better account for taxes and our other web hosting costs. To go with that, the monthly giveaway goal was bumped from $90 a month to $100 a month.

Looking ahead, we expect to have ECO in late May to early June. We’ll get a better timeframe once we are into May.

Patreon!

It if with great excitement that I get to announce that we are now on Patreon! During our recent Community Board Meeting, we found there is plenty of interest in supporting this great gaming community financially. So please head on over to our new Patreon page and see what the rewards are and how you can contribute!

Along with the new Patreon, our Discord is going to be making a few changes to better reward those who contribute with cosmetics. Have no fear that your rank and status in games themselves will not be changed being or not being a Patron.

January Update

This evening we had a longer than usual Private Board Meeting to begin planning out our plans for 2019. During this meeting, we discussed players in higher ranks who are no longer active. We believe to be fair to everyone in the community, we should not reward extended inactively. So we made the hard decision of multiple demotions. Many Senior Members have been bumped down to regular members. We also made the difficult decision to demote Commander Nick down to Subcommander due to his extended absence and large absences in Board Meetings. It was not an easy decision but we believe it is most fair to have those driving the community to be active within our community.

Feel free to check out the Board Meeting notes here. You’ll see that fundraising has been brought back to light. No decisions have been made yet but we do plan to bring it to the community for discussion in a future Community Board Meeting.

And finally, we have promoted Craig (Cable Guy) to Subcommander. He’s been director of Rainbow Six Siege for a long time and has continuely been active in our community. Congrationalions Craig!
